In the last few years, there has been an ever growing trend of video converting software sprouting out from every corner of the web. No, because I hate the fact that there are a million different types of video and audio formats currently available. By no means am I encouraging people to steal music and movies. But where we stand right now, it is getting ridiculous. Lets say I buy a DVD movie, oh wait, I can’t watch this movie on my PSP because PSP has a proprietary format, so now I have to buy this movie again for my PSP. What if I want to watch it on my iPhone or iPod, same problem, proprietary format, so I have to buvidy it again from iTunes. This is why video/audio converting software is so popular, because it breaks that barrier and lets me use my multimedia anywhere I want. If I purchased a movie from the internet, I can use this converter to convert it so I can burn it to a DVD or turn it to a format suitable for my PSP or iPod.

This creates a grey area, and obviously some people are using video converters and DVD rippers to steal music and movies. If I buy a song or a movie, it is my belief that I should be able to enjoy this song and movie on any medium I desire. If there is a system where I can purchase a movie and use it on any medium and be able to change it to any format for free? That would be ideal, but that day is not upon us, so in the meanwhile, just use your video converters.

How to remove audio from a video file?

Quite often you may want to remove audio tracks from the input video while editing a video clip, so get only video stream as an output. How?

Start recording and you must check that no sound is really recorded by it.Record till the length of your video track. Save that null audio file. Then open windows Movie Maker and then import that audio track and drag it to the audio timeline, then save your job. Actually you are not removing audio but overwriting on it with an empty audio track.
